I remember getting to the city after staying home too long. Had been done with school and nothing to do or either failed at all the things I tried to do…oh well. Then I get HERE but the hustle and hassle…heeyy was too much for me. People paid attention to NO one. The speed – the vehicles, cab drivers, bike rollers and even pedestrians were at that same pace.
I stumbled often, will be furious and ask that they slow down. I will yell at someone who either smashed or hurt me – Guess what, NO ONE paid attention! Usually curious glances will turn your way. And my compassionate heart gets to thinking it finally evoked some empathy and concern from these people but even that lasted but for a second and they were done with me.
I got left with no choice, had to join the race. I was in Rome and would do as the Romans did! Did it require I take the East bend, South bend, NorthWest bend, I would do. That was life displaying before me. Time waits for NO ONE to sit crawling or wallowing in self- pity. It’s either you shrink and flee home or you chest-up and match forward. You need to push your feet to walk and find your path.
Now the BUT – Finding Your Path!
Yes… because everyone seems to be gearing -up towards a given direction or following a trend doesn’t mean you are obliged to copy same. We are required to pace-up on a self-created route. It would be easy to get lost in someone else’s way of life or hustle. But remember, we all personally aim at different goals and experiences.
Find your space, I know how shabby and muddy it looks like. Do not worry, covet it, use your spade to dig off the mud and when you are done, throw your gravel.
